Why choose a Progress virtual phone number?
Part of the Harrisburg area
Progress sits just outside Harrisburg, and a 717 number reads as home turf whether you're meeting someone in the capital or handling errands close by.
York and Lebanon know 717 too
York and Lebanon are close enough that 717 is what people there expect on their caller ID, so a second number here doesn't look out of place on a marketplace listing or a new text thread.
Carlisle and Colonial Park commutes
If work or errands take you toward Carlisle or Colonial Park, a 717 number means new contacts see a familiar area code instead of one tied to wherever you used to live.
Fewer numbers on spam lists
Pennsylvania residents report steady volumes of unwanted sales pitches and scam calls. A second Ghost number gives you a line to hand out for classifieds or dating apps without putting your main number on those lists.
One area code, six towns
Progress, Harrisburg, York, Lebanon, Carlisle, Colonial Park, and Weigelstown all sit in the same stretch of central Pennsylvania, so a 717 number travels well anywhere in that stretch.

717 is the area code tied to Harrisburg, and it's what you'll hear across nearby York, Lebanon, Carlisle, Colonial Park, and Weigelstown too, all within a short drive of Progress.
Progress runs on Eastern Time, same as the rest of central Pennsylvania, so calls and texts land at the times you'd expect no matter which nearby town you're reaching.
Like much of Pennsylvania, residents in the Harrisburg area report regular unwanted calls, mostly telemarketing pitches and robocall scams. Keeping a separate Ghost number for classifieds, dating apps, or work contacts keeps that traffic off your main line.
