Great app
Love this app. It’s easy to set up and use. I really feel safer knowing that my real number isn’t being used when I have to enter a phone number online. Plus this app is transparent. They don’t hide anything…

Why choose an Oildale virtual phone number?
Bakersfield is right next door
Oildale sits on the edge of Bakersfield, and the two run together as one metro. A 661 number reads as local to anyone in Bakersfield you're selling to, dating, or working with, without handing out your personal line.
Wasco and Shafter share your code
People in Wasco and Shafter carry 661 too, so a number in that code looks like it belongs to someone from right around here, not out of state or out of the area.
Arvin and Rosedale, same story
The 661 code stretches out to Arvin and Rosedale as well. If you're coordinating a move, a sale, or work across that stretch of Kern County, a matching area code keeps things from looking like a stranger's call.
One code covers the whole core
661 is the only code tied to Oildale, so you don't have to guess which one reads as local here. Pick it once in Ghost and it stays consistent across every contact in the area.

Population

The 661 area code covers Bakersfield and is carried by many people in the communities that surround Oildale, including Wasco, Shafter, Arvin, and Rosedale. A 661 number fits naturally into that whole stretch of Kern County.
Oildale runs on Pacific time along with the rest of the region. 661 is the single area code overlaying Bakersfield and its neighboring towns, so there's no second code to track when you're calling or texting around the area.
Residents in this part of Kern County report the usual mix of unwanted sales calls and robocalls from unknown numbers that most people deal with today. Keeping a separate number for selling, dating, or work means those calls land somewhere other than your personal line.
