Why choose a Frankfort virtual phone number?
Part of the Lexington-Fayette orbit
Frankfort sits about 25 miles from Lexington-Fayette, and a lot of daily errands, appointments, and work run through that metro. An 859 number reads as local there instead of raising questions from an unfamiliar area code.
Georgetown ties
Georgetown, KY is close enough that many Frankfort residents have family, friends, or work connections there. Carrying either the 502 or 859 code keeps you reachable to that circle without switching your main line.
Shelbyville and the Louisville side
Shelbyville sits between Frankfort and Louisville, and many people along that stretch carry a 502 number. If you split time between Frankfort and Louisville, a 502 second line keeps that connection recognizable.
Two area codes, two networks
Frankfort sits between the 502 (Louisville) and 859 (Lexington) coverage areas, so you can pick whichever code matches the people you call most, family in Louisville or coworkers in Lexington.

The 502 area code is carried by many in Louisville, and 859 by many in Lexington. Frankfort sits between both, and neighboring Georgetown and Shelbyville fall into that same mix of codes.
Frankfort runs on Eastern time, like the rest of central Kentucky. The 502 and 859 codes cover separate neighboring regions rather than overlapping the same area, so which one reads as local depends on who you're calling.
Residents around Frankfort file reports with the FTC about unwanted calls, mostly robocalls and spoofed local numbers, a pattern also seen in nearby Lexington-Fayette and Georgetown. A second number lets you keep your main line off those lists while still using a local code for everyday calls.
